XPC Spine

Project control for industrial shutdowns and capital projects

One spine for the whole outage

XPC Spine ties every trade to your P6 schedule. The owner, the PM, the CM and every trade lead see the same job, live, from mobilization to turnover.

Safety first. Schedule-driven. Each client's data kept separate.

Built for the jobs where downtime costs the most

Every hour of the shutdown counts

When a machine is down, every day can cost the owner real money. XPC Spine is built for the short, crowded work windows where a dozen contractors have to finish on the same day.

Paper machine rebuilds

Press, dryer and reel sections, headbox and wire work, plus the piping, electrical and rigging around them. A guided setup comes pre-loaded with the trades, areas and phase gates.

Power plant outages

Boiler, turbine and balance-of-plant scopes run against a fixed return-to-service date. Lifts, permits and lockouts are tracked right next to the schedule.

Capital expansions

New lines, building additions and multi-phase capital work, from preconstruction to closeout, with gates the PM signs off before the next phase starts.

Open the Paper Machine 3 press and dryer section rebuild: 12 trade boards, the P6 schedule with its critical path, lift plans, the delay log and the client master board. Everything in it is invented sample data, and nothing can be changed.

The work we track

Every lift, every gear, every roll

The heavy work of a rebuild happens in a few crowded days. Every lift, removal and repair is an activity on the schedule, with its own crew, permits and photos.

How it works

From the P6 schedule to the owner's desk

The schedule is the spine. Everything else hangs off it, so progress, delays and safety all report against the same dates.

1

Load the schedule

Bring in your P6 schedule, or build one with the built-in scheduler. Critical path and float are worked out for you.

2

Hand out trade boards

The CM gives each trade lead a board with their own activities, their own prints at the current revision, and a camera button for progress photos.

3

Watch it live

When a trade saves an update, it shows on the PM and CM master dashboard right away. Slips are caught by comparing schedule updates, and every delay is logged.

4

Update the client master board

The PM updates the client's own master board with approved, frozen updates. Cost stays out unless the PM chooses to include it.

Safety comes first

Safety is the first tab, not an add-on

The safety board opens before anything else on every project. Anyone on the job can report a safety concern, at any time, without waiting for paperwork.

  • Pre-task plans, permits and inspections
  • Rigging lift plans, with critical lift approval
  • Overhead work caught: crews stacked by elevation or under a lift
  • Incidents and near misses, reported from a phone
  • Training tracked for every leader, with official OSHA cards checked

Everyone sees what they need

The right view for each role

Only the PM and CM see the master board. The client gets a master board of their own, updated by the PM. Each trade lead gets a dashboard of their own, holding only their trade's information.

For your IT and security review

Your drawings and data stay yours

Mill and plant owners trust contractors with drawings, schedules and cost. XPC Spine is built so that information never reaches anyone it shouldn't.

Separation

Each client kept apart

Every client runs in its own container, with its own database, file storage and network. No data is shared between clients, or between jobs.

NDA gate

Signed NDA before any files

Project files and client information open only after the person has signed that project's NDA. Safety reporting is always open.

Encryption

Encrypted files and backups

Uploaded files and backups are encrypted, and every connection uses HTTPS.

Sign-in

Two-step sign-in for leaders

PMs, CMs and superintendents confirm sign-in with a code from their phone. Microsoft and Google work accounts are supported.

Audit

A record of who did what

A tamper-evident audit log records every change, so any entry can be traced back to the person who made it.

Revisions

Old revisions locked away

When a new drawing revision comes in, the old one moves to a vault only the PM can open, so the field always builds to the current sheet.

Start with one job

Run a pilot on your next outage

Pick one rebuild or outage. We set it up with your schedule and your trades, and your team runs it for the length of the job.

  1. Kickoff. We load your P6 schedule and pick the right template.
  2. Boards out. Your CM hands each trade lead their board, and the NDA gate goes up.
  3. Run the job. Your team works in XPC Spine through turnover, and we check in every week.
  4. Review. We go over the delay log and the results with you, then decide on next steps together.
